SESSION UNPLUGGED

Tous les jeudis cet été l'IBoat propose les "Sessions Unplugged" sur sa plage. Des artistes locaux ( ou pas ) se succèderont pour un rdv hebdomadaire convivial et décontracté autour de cocktails et tapas à déguster confortablement installé dans les transats face à la mer.



THE HOLYDRUG COUPLE (Sacred Bones Records - chile)

Aside from the French soundtrack and Gainsbourg influences, they also cite inspiration from the soul ballads of Aretha Franklin, ’80s South American synthpop acts like Los Encargados, Virus, and Los Prisioneros, and the contemporary French electro group Air. The songs are streamlined hook delivery machines, without any baroque arrangements or unnecessary flourishes to get in the way of their ultimate goal. To Ives, the lyrical themes on the record represent “feeling lust, desire, for something that you see when it's dark but it's so far away that it’s unreachable. It's an unrealistic target, like God, maybe, or a dream archetype of a goddess. It’s the feeling of melancholy that you can't fulfill with anything.” 

If that feeling sounds anything like the songs on Moonlust, then here’s hoping that he and Manu keep reaching out into that cosmic void anyway.

Northod est un groupe originaire de Bordeaux aux sonorite?s singulie?res. Oscillant entre dark pop et influences psyche?de?liques, le jeune quatuor nous plonge dans un univers onirique unique a? travers la recherche minutieuse des sons de guitares. Evoluant de la contemplation ae?rienne vers l’errance fantomatique, leurs morceaux sont remplis de douce poe?sie et de re?ves froids.

A leur actif, Northod s’offrent de belles sce?nes; en ouverture de Joe Goddard (Hot Cheap), Aldous RH (Egyptian Hip Hop), ou bien lors des Festivals du Printemps de Bourges en 2014 et des Francofolies l’anne?e passe?e.
